This year, Abruzzo Ceramics was proud to take the stage at the Brickworks 2026 Master Class, sharing the trends, textures and finishes that are shaping Australian tile and stone design right now. For nearly forty years we've been fitting out bathrooms, kitchens and outdoor spaces from our Wetherill Park showroom, and events like this are one of our favourite ways to swap notes with the wider industry and show off what we've been working on.
Here's a recap of what we presented — and a look at some of the ranges, projects and finishes that had the room talking.
Who We Are
For anyone in the room who hadn't crossed paths with us yet, we kicked off with a quick introduction. Abruzzo Ceramics is a family-owned and operated tile showroom and tiling contractor based in Wetherill Park, NSW. Established in 1985, we've spent close to four decades building a reputation for quality, craftsmanship and genuinely personalised service across residential and commercial projects — from single bathroom renovations to full home builds.
Our goal has always been simple: to set the benchmark for luxury tile and stone finishes by curating exclusive products from around the world and backing them with installation that brings every design vision to life with precision. Or, as we like to put it — tiling every surface in style.
The Design Trends We're Seeing
A big part of our Master Class session was digging into where Australian tiling is heading. Design trends here move quickly, largely influenced by what's happening overseas, and staying ahead of that curve is core to what we do. We broke it down into four areas:
Style. Australian tile and stone design is leaning into warm neutrals, natural stone aesthetics and timeless texture, drawing heavily on European and Mediterranean influences. Travertine and limestone finishes, soft timber-look tiles, large-format porcelain and handmade Moroccan-inspired tiles are all on the rise — a clear shift toward organic, sophisticated, enduring design.
Colour palette. Off-whites, beiges, creams and warm greys continue to dominate new home designs, but we're seeing a welcome return of accent colour — olive greens, maroons, terracotta and sky blues — used to create contrast against that neutral base.
Format. Large-format tiles, from 600×1200mm right up to full porcelain slabs, remain hugely popular for their luxurious look, seamless pattern continuity and low-maintenance appeal. At the same time, smaller-format tiles are making a comeback in wet areas, offering better slip resistance and compliance with Australian standards, including the NCC.
Pattern. Checkerboard and French pattern flooring, 3D fluted tiles and tumbled-edge finishes are increasingly being used as features — small design decisions that turn a simple layout into a genuine statement.

Our Popular Ranges
From there, we walked the room through some of our most-loved ranges and the local projects they've featured in.
Absolute White, part of The Room Series, offers a light stone-look tile inspired by translucent white Onyx limestone. Available in matt and polished finishes, and in formats from a 300×300 mosaic through to a 1200×2780 slab, it's brought a clean, elegant finish to projects including our Monte Carlo display home in Oran Park and the Greystanes project.
Mapierre Series (7) was designed to showcase the natural beauty and irregularity of limestone, available in five colour ways - Blanc, Beige, Naturale, Gris and Noir - across both an Ancienne and Noble finish. It's suited to internal and external use alike, with body tiles from 300×600 up to 1200×2780 slabs, plus linge, spaccatella and mosaic formats for internal areas, and paver options for external ones.

Elixir Series brings a contemporary flooring solution in five colours — Panna, Almond, Beige, Beige Scuro and Nocciola — with all the aesthetics of natural timber but the durability of a porcelain tile. It's been a favourite in several of our display home projects, including Tempus, Grantham and Norwood.
Trail rounds out the group as our versatile outdoor flooring solution, available in four modular sizes — 20×20, 20×40, 60×60 and 60×90 — and in White, Greige, Terracotta and Grey. It's designed to bring an elegant, low-fuss finish to alfresco areas, courtyards and poolside spaces.

What's Coming Next
We also gave the room a first look at what's next on our shelves. A number of new ranges are landing exclusively at Abruzzo Ceramics, including Gemmastone, Replay, Retina and Yakisugi — each chosen to meet what our customers are asking for in colour, format, texture and overall aesthetic.

We're also introducing an exclusive range of tile slabs — including Cocoon, San Pedro, Tele di Marmo Lumia and Vis — in a striking 6.5-metre, 1200×2780 format, suited to main floors, bathroom walls, splashbacks and feature fireplace walls.
And because we love supporting local suppliers, we're bringing in new ranges including Tetra Series, Concord, Venice, Akari Finger mosaics and Arialuce — stylish, durable and cost-effective options for every kind of project. Bellow is another flatlay from the event "Palm Springs" featuring our Akari Fingers in Peach Gloss (9).

Thanks, Brickworks
A big thank you to the Brickworks team for having us as part of the 2026 Master Class line-up. Events like this are a great reminder of how fast this industry moves, and we love having the chance to share what we've learned with fellow designers, builders and tiling professionals.
If any of the ranges above caught your eye, drop into our Wetherill Park showroom or get in touch — we'd love to help bring your next project to life.
